what do you see in the picture?

Well, I must say this one has me completely stumped, and judging from the guestbook I'm not alone.

The fact that a certain inbuilt function (which shall remain nameless to strictly abide by the no spoiler rule) may be relevant somehow seems quite obvious.

And I can see a few things that could be numbers or characters in the picture; I'm not sure what they could mean though.

Basically, I don't know where to being writing a script, since i have no idea what data the script should be processing....

Anyone care to come forth with some further clues?

It's not that function that's a clue, but something else with the same name.

If by 'a certain inbuilt function' you mean what I think you mean, you're on the wrong track. You need to think of another concept with the same name.

Yes, I gathered as much reading the discussion at comp.lang.python.

It was the "now there are pairs" title that kind of put me on the wrong track....

In spite of having my error corrected, I'm still not sure of where the answer is to be found! Time to dust the thinking cap off once more.

Well, I got past the confusion and did the correct thing, and now I'm confronted with the message "(verb) the (noun)." What (noun)? I see no (noun) here!

Is finding the (noun) supposed to be part of the challenge? If not, where can I find (noun) -- it's less than obvious.

P.S. Just to make it clear what message I'm talking about -- (noun) is not the name of a built-in function.

Well, I can find one (noun), of course -- which is the name of that built-in function. But I sort of doubt that's what was meant. Besides, (verb) kind of implies more than one (noun), one would think.

Oh. That's where I was supposed to find the (noun). First tool I used didn't properly display the (noun). No wonder I was confused.

If anyone else is stuck -- you're supposed to use the Python module, not some other tool. Silly person.

So I found the hidden thing, and found the instructions in the hidden thing, and did what they told me, but now I'd like a hint on what to do with the results of that. Thanks!

I must not have it decoded then because it's a big long mess of stuff that would need to be encoded as a url in order to be valid. Of course, I tried that anyway and got a 404.

Is there a decode step once I (verb) the (noun)?

And are "pairs" important?

Ok, I did what it said in the (almost?) last step, however the comments say nothing, at least for me.

Any hints on how to process that information?
