Not if you don't use it -- just downloading it isn't enough .

Argh... I can't believe this. I spent hours staring at the numbers, until much, much later I realized that I made a programming error that cut out duplicate digits... which is why when I used The Table earlier it didn't make any sense.

EDIT: I get this error: "IOError: decoder zip not available" when executing my script..

the message number you get from the gray bar is in the asc code

He says I am smart, but I can't turn the numbers into normal chars.
May the problem with my codepage ?
chr(10) couldn't be in a normal uml.

If you find unprintable information, you made a mistake in your code. See earlier hints in this forum.

Hello, I think I am using the good module.
I have extracted the gray bar and now, I can get detail about every pixel but I really dont't know how useful the information can be.

So I'm supposed to be a smart guy.
I have a list of 9 numbers now but can't turn them into text. Some hints above I guess might be misleading:
- the unprintable chars are b/c the grey bar does not extend all the way across, and not due to a mistake in my processing
- Also, the first section of the bar is only 5 pixels wide, but this is not important.
I already used both parts of the hint (i*7, 43). Any other hint, missing info?

Tell it where to look & it will tell you what it sees...

Can someone give a hint about extracting the grey bar, if that's what you're supposed to do. Does it involve crop? If not, can I get a hint for at least which module in the package to use, and maybe which function(s). I've looked through the main module and I don't see much, except maybe crop, but I don't know how to get the coordinates.

If (i * 7, 43) is a hint, I have no clue what 'i' means.
