I've read through this topic many times, but I still don't get closer to the solution. The "get it straight" hint doesn't help me, at all. Maybe I don't understand this phrase exactly, since I'm not native in English.

I've tried to display only the purple bits, and also tried to rearrange them, but no luck. I must overlook sg. obvious.

Ah, got it too, after I had studied the image in a bit more detail and had tried a few other options. I just had to get it straight.

Could you please give me some hint about the options you tried?

For those, who got sg. that wasn't enough straight: go for perfect straightness.

I'm still stuck on this one. I can't get what "straight" means here -- visually, I suppose it stands for something unbent, aligned or not curved. Well, I've tried to align the purple dots, and to sort the lines of the image starting from the line with the least X values for its purple dots. It didn't give me anything useful at all.
Last but not least, are the white dots surrounding the purple ones important?

Straightening and sorting aren't the same thing.

You have to do the former, but not the latter...

Ok, I'm stumped been looking at this one for 3 days now. I have it semi-straight it appears to be a backslash anyways, and it isnt completely straight. My magic number had nothing to do with any of those listed before, in fact it's well over 300.

what for straight? the pixels? or something else.
what module should I use or buildin function.

use Image module to deal with the image and the python list and slicing to deal with the straighthening thing....

Wow. That was evil. Figuring out what to do wasn't too hard for me, but figuring out how to do it took me a long time...

like many others, this has got me stumped. I have the data (480 of them) and have tried a number of ways to straighten things (alignment of overlapping points etc) but I think I am barking up the wrong tree...

Does anyone have other clue, oOther than straightening (or maybe more hints on what this really means)??

I am also completely stumped. I have located the relevant data but I am not sure what 'straight' denotes ? Does it mean that I have to rotate these items or move them to align with the others ?

You are on the right lines with your question. rotating certain bits and realigning others may help.
