OK. thanks to mjpieters, I know what I was doing wrong. The good news is if you get it straight in the wrong way as I did, you should still be able to guess the answer.

Oh geeze, I finally got it. Your hints didn't help at all. Or rather, I only understood the hints after I figured out what you were hinting at on my own

BTW, johnlr, I think I saw what could possibly have been the wrong answer, but I couldn't figure out what it said. Could you possibly post (rot13'd or something) how you got the wrong answer and what it says? I'm just curious.

I still need hints on this one. I've found the purple lines, and I've heard lots of people telling me to get it straight. I've tried things like outputting the pixels in wider and narrower rectangles, but still nothing. Can anyone give me another hint?

What does straight mean? Really. Define it to yourself. Since it's a visual riddle, skip non-visual meanings.

In my case, "force it straight" applied almost ok (did not look very nice, but readable). It may work in your case aswell.

I have all the [spoiler removed] and their coordinates (so [spoiler removed]), I tried to draw line betwwen this lines (in fact the fifth point) but it does'nt give anythinh usable ...
So have you an idea or a small hint, i don't understand the straight concept (I am french).

You're not meant to be drawing lines. You're meant to be straightening things. This might cause a line to appear, but you're not drawing the line yourself. Don't surrender to the problem! (couldn't resist. sorry)

Approached level 16 one day ago, and still almost clueless.
I've found the purple pattern but I can't straighten the whole stuff.
Can't find any (straight) period about the purples

It looks like there are [spoilers removed].
I've calculated the distances between each pattern and can't
find anything interesting.

Tried to remove them, or show them only...no luck

I have found the purple bits and straightened them out, but it doesn't seem to have helped me - it doesn't look any clearer than it did before.
The straightness isn't exactly straight by the way - does it sound like I'm going the right way with this? Please help, I've been stuck on this level for ages.
