The moderators do feel free -- I'm one of 'em . Problem is, I really don't know whether it's a spoiler! I don't think it would have helped me, so I let it be.

Some of the other levels have been complex. This one is simple. Much better!

That was a wonderful level. Definitely one of my favourites!

That was FUN!

For those stuck: Tim is being too modest; Fred may have written the Python code, but Tim provided the inspiration. Oh, and take the hints literally!

That was beautiful. I had a flash of enlightenment and tried a three-letter word starting with "z", and was bitterly disappointed when it returned a 404. Then I thought, "wait a minute... that last clue..." and was greatly relieved to find that I'd been correct the first time, and that this puzzle really was just as beautiful as I thought. Thanks a lot to whoever designed it!

Argh! I am stuck! Not the first time, but there I have nothing to chew. No mysterious binary file making me read about image formats or compression algorithms, no website to dig in, no pattern matching and string manipulation to experiment ... Just starring at the module index with increasing perplexity.

If this is a joke about a module referenced in the standard documentation, I can try again, but if it is really "undocumented", I am afraid that I have reached my incompetence level ...

You better stare at the contents of /usr/lib/python2.4 (or whereever your python stores it's library).. It is an undocumented module after all. Also, take this literally!

Well, I tried this, and lacking inspiration, I made a brute force attempt (I gathered 716 module names - documented or not - and tried them all). I detected only one valid url, leading to a dead end. And trying an encrypted version only made me suspected of smoking things ... Perhaps for some reason (incorrect installation ?) I have indeed never seen the magic word on my screen, and this idea makes me nervous ....

The url is not the name of the module; you should do something with the module first.

Brute forcing things will not work at all here. There is one module that isn't
documented, not even in the 'undocumented' section of the python docs. I'll
give you a few hints though:

• the hints on the level page have pretty much named the module for you.
• UncleTimmy here should have known about the module in the first place,
  because he could be called the father of the module in question
• The module isn't much use for solving programming problems programmatically,
  it is only helpful with philosophy
• Once you find the module, study it's source

Thanks for the hints! I I couldn't imagine that it was that simple!

Am I mistaken or this one "requires" python 2.4? I wasn't able to solve it with my python 2.3 installation on Fedora Core 3. Luckily enough I wanted to try 2.4 for a previous level, so I had it at hand this time. Unless I've found a short cut, totally unrelated, by pure chance. Someone please confirm the dependency on 2.4.
