new to the site

I am new to the site, and need some help please. I have programmed in JAVA. Created some data structures etc. I love to learn Python. Can you help me get started here please? What compiler should I use? ( I run Ubuntu Intrepid ). What documents do I use please ( to learn more about Python ). I clicked on the first challenge, and I have no idea how to do it. Are there any interesting projects you would recommend? I am a network engineer, and love to learn what is possible with Python. Thanks in advance for your time.

Python is an interpreted language: you could just start the interpreter (as "python", it should already be installed on Ubuntu) and run some code. This would be useful for quick experiments and small scripts, like those needed to solve the challenge.

Re: new to the site

Where do I have to key in the answer?

In what sense do I have to modify the URL? by replacing the 0 with the answer?

Any help is highly appreciated
